I am a recent transplant to the Monterey area and haven't had my car worked on seriously outside of oil changes . In November, my 2004 Subaru Outback began sounding like a Harley Davidson and became incredibly annoying and embarrassing to drive as a result. I asked my friends where I should take my car and they recommended this place. I took my car in for service and met with Kevin, who is one of the most genuine guys I have ever met. Kevin said they'd take a look at what was going on with the noise and my car in general. In the end, I needed a muffler replaced, oil changed, brake fluid topped off, brakes replaced, and an O ring replaced. The price was about $2,000 for all of that. Kevin gave me a great discount and the price came down to around $1,700. More than half that cost was just the muffler repair. Kevin threw in a car rental for the day the car would be in the shop, which was incredibly convenient and thoughtful of him. Overall impressions? The shop is well run, efficient, clean, and Kevin is genuine, kind, and thoughtful. I was grateful they were willing to work on the price and make sure that I had a car to drive to work the next day. I feel comfortable coming back to them for my future car needs (I have a Honda Odyssey) and will recommend them to my friends should they need car service. I hope this review was helpful. -Dom

Kevin was very comprehensive in his explanation of the problems with my Passat which I appreciated. The work on the car was completed within a day as promised, and the headlight covers were polished as a courtesy which I also appreciated!

I hadn't had my car checked out for a long time. Even though it has very low milage, the Toyota is a 2001 and it needed to be looked at. After the service I had, I would recomment this shop to anyone. Oh, by the way, the outside lamp over the night time sign-in area didn't go on, so it was kind of dark when I signed in and left my key. Just thought you'd want to know.
