Brought my car here (2007 bmw m6) bc engine was having misfires and had them diagnose. Gentleman who helped me was nice. They told me I needed new spark plugs and ignition coils, quoted me $4,100 to do all 20 (10 cyl). Something like $2200 for parts and $1800 for 6 hours of labor. I towed the car back to my house and did it myself for $1200 with all oem parts… in 6 hours. I’ve never done engine work before, youtubed it, and it took me the same amount of time they quoted me for their professional mechanic. It’s almost insulting how much they asked for spark plugs and ignition coils.
Hello Aeden, Thank you for your review. I understand the potential cost of your repairs were extensive and I am glad you were able to complete them on your own, but unfortunately, the information you provided our readers was not correct.. The total cost for the recommended repairs was going to be $3,390 plus tax, with parts costing $2500 and labor $780, as opposed to the $1,800 you reported. Our ASE Master Certified Technicians are amongst the most capable on the peninsula and I assure you the job you did in six hours would have taken them a fraction of the time, but that isn't the important part of the story. What is important to me is that it seems you were happy with the customer service we provided and the work we recommended actually fixed your concern; for that we would like to be recognized. Pacific Motor Service focuses on world-class customer service and we add only the most qualified technicians to our team. I would love to list our credentials, but will not ramble on...
