Jim Hayes, General Manager of the Monterey location, always seeks the best interest of the customer, as has been my experience every time my vehicle needs to be serviced. Today I had my brakes replaced...all of them. Driving my car, I feel fully confident based on their training and guarantees, while at the same time knowing I received the best price for the parts and service performed. Also worth honorable mention: In between the time of waiting for my own vehicle, Jim set me up with a loan vehicle to keep me moving forward, without losing a step! I love this place. They always get me in as soon as they can and get the job done in a timely manner. They don't start with the highest cost solution like some places. If there is a less expensive option that might work they offer me the choice. I have used them several times and will return again.

This is the second time in several years I have had Pacific Motors perform significant work on my 2000 VW Golf. And both times I have been more than satisfied with the work done and their concern for my satisfaction. As I said to a friend, I brought in a car on "Medicare", and they gave it Viagra. This last time they fixed problems resulting from my bad habit of neglecting or ignoring warning icons. What I most appreciated: 1. No stern lecture - just suggestion of making the next appointment sooner than previously. 2. Frequent updates on what needed to be done, making sure I approved, etc. Great since I live in Gilroy and rented a car while mine was in shop (got "shop" rate from Enterprise - great value). 3. Suggestions for pro-active maintenance - new hoses, etc. 4. Their warranty from prior repairs covered cost of at least one new part. 5. Attention to detail: my car suffers from "plastic eczema". They tidied up the straggling bits - looks much better! 6. Attention to detail #2: my car's antenna was replaced. Double-checking at time of pick up to make sure reception was perfect. I actually have delayed writing this review for fear that immediately afterward something unpleasant would pop up on the car. But I have taken it on two day-long trips (each over 300 miles - freeways, hills, etc.), and it has been a joy to drive again. The new struts and shocks make a huge difference - it's regained the sports car driving feel it had in 2000 when I got it new. As I told a friend, just today, "I spent a lot getting my car fixed, but it came back even better than I had hoped for." Looking forward to my next appointment.
