I've taken my 2005 Jaguar and other vehicles to Pacific Motor Service on Franklin Street for over 10 years and have experienced nothing but prompt, top shelf service. Rory and Beatrice at the service desk are utmost professionals and have always been pleasant, honest, fair, and accommodating. In my experience, it's the best auto repair shop on the Monterey Peninsula.

The crew here have always provided honest and fair service. I was recommended to them about a decade ago and it has been the best experience ever since. They are considerate and personable when needed. 10 years of maintenance on multiple vehicles over hundreds of thousands of miles of maintenance, routine and unexpected repairs alike. It is not always fun paying for a large repair but knowing someone is genuine on the other side does make it a little easier to accpet.

Pacific motors is the best shop on the peninsula

Pacific Motors is an exceptional car service. Took my Mini Cooper in for annual service. Work was done quickly. The service staff both on the phone and in person were super nice, efficient and helpful. Highly recommend them.

Rory and the entire team at Pacific Motor Service in Monterey are the best. They really know their way around our little 2005 Prius (Gen2). Always have your budget in mind along with an eye out for what will keep the car safe and working in top shape.

There are plenty of choices out there, and I could have gone with any other car repair shop. It was my first time ever needing to take my car to a repair shop in Monterey as I am new in the area, and I'm glad I brought it to Pacific Motor Service. Look, any good, decent, honest automotive technician is going to do a good job, but it's when one goes the extra mile that a business, in this case, a car repair shop, will stand out. First of all, my very first interaction over the phone with Beatrice (I hope I'm spelling her name correctly) was wonderful. She was attentive, clear, respectful, and always sounded like she was smiling (yeah, I know, but you know you can hear that). Once I showed up, Rory (again, I hope I'm at least close to how you spell his name) was smiling, respectful, attentive, kind, and even used the adjective "lovely" every time he referred to my old car. This sort of customer service is the very first impact with your customer and will set the vibe for the remaining of the interactions you'll have with this business, and I was happy to stick with them. My specific car issue was a "check-engine" light that came on one day, and turned off the next. I just wanted to make sure it got checked and my car was safe to drive. They performed a diagnostic, found what the issue was and repaired it, as well as a leaky tire I was unfortunate to have while driving to Pacific Motor Service. They're a bit pricier to what I am used to, but I would not knock a star off from their review for that. They're service, their attention was memorable and I would definitely recommend them to whomever may need a good mechanic.

PMS did a good job on diagnosing my problem with my emission system diagnosis trouble code that appeared. I did have a problem after first diagnosis with a new problem that cropped up but they were able to fix it at no charge.
